Good association presentation photograph, 13 3/4" x 10 3/4" color, a view of the Earth from lunar orbit, taken during the Apollo 10 mission. The photo is affixed to a 15 1/2" x 18 1/2" mount, with the stamped signatures of mission crewmembers TOM STAFFORD and GENE CERNAN below, accompanied by the secretarial signature of crewmate JOHN YOUNG in black ink. Above the image appears the dedication in black ink: "To Bill Dana - our fourth crew member... Wish you could have joined us instead of staying on the launch pad." Shows an abrasion to the upper right corner of the photo, with some bumps, mat lines and slight soiling to the mount, else very good. BILL DANA (1924-2017) was an American comedian best known for his frequent appearances on "The Ed Sullivan Show", in character as "Jose Jiminez", frequently in the guise of an astronaut. The character was popular with NASA astronauts and was named an honorary member of the Mercury program.
