Rare flown relic from the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission, on a presentation signed by the three-man crew of Apollo 13. This rare item is comprised of a 7" x 5" blue card with printed text: "A PIECE OF AQUARIUS (LM-7) LAUNCHED 4-11-70 SPLASHDOWN 4-17-70 PRESENTED TO P. BARRY THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE! From the Apollo 13 Crew" A 1 1/2" x 1" piece of white cloth taken from the spacecraft is attached to the right side of the card. At bottom the card is hand-signed by crew member JAMES LOVELL, JACK SWIGERT and FRED HAISE. Fine condition. The Apollo 13 astronauts returned to earth aboard "Odyssey", while "Aquarius", the Lunar Module which kept them alive, burned up in the atmosphere on re-entry. SOLD WITH: an "Apollo Achievement Award" given to "P. K. Barry" for his contribution to helping land men on the moon.
